BiOMICom History
The company was incorporated in June 2012. R&D activities initiated in 2010 by the principles produced encouraging results and an intellectual property portfolio was developed. Today BiOMICom is focussed on research, development, and production in several product areas. EcoNET is a parallel chemical information platform for marine ecosystems to study marine chemical ecology in a detailed fashion. CellNET is an analytical platform being designed for spatial, temporal, and chemically resolved measurement of diffusible chemistry occurring within active cell and tissue cultures. Both platforms use LC/MS/MS as the principle analysis engine drawing on other measurement methods such as optical imaging and NMR where appropriate. Our high sensitivity accurate mass measurement LC/qTOF-MS/MS systems provide high throughput opportunities to characterize diffusible chemistry in the marine ecosystem and in cell/tissue culture. Our current business model incorporates revenue from products, contract R&D, and licensing/royalty fees.
Mr. James D. BuchnerJim is President & CEO of BiOMICom. He is also President of MultiPhase Solutions, Inc. a consulting company and a supplier of custom designed analytical instruments. Several projects have included development of isotope ratio mass spectrometers for non-invasive medical diagnostics and gas chromatographs for specialized chemical processing measurements. Jim has over 30 years of experience developing technology and managing technology companies.
